Envance is pleased to be supporting One Manchester in their delivery of the Green Employment & Skills Programme. We are happy to be able to offer two entrant level/ trainee roles for people looking to start their career in environmental consultancy.
The Green Employment and Skills programmes includes:
- Creation of 125 supported green jobs ,targeting priority groups through 3-6 month part-time flexible job placements (typically 15 hours per week) paid at Real Living Wage.
- Support from Green Employment Coach providing mentoring, employment support, coaching, and referral into aligned training offers.
- Carbon literacy introduction course for all participants.
- Flexible training and personal development offer
Our Roles
Junior Environmental Survey Assistant:
Supporting the team of environmental consultants in the delivery of environmental surveys and reports, tasks will include:
- Survey preparation
- Assisting in ecological surveys (e.g. night time bat surveys and great crested new surveys)
- Data consultation
- Data management
- Collecting and maintaining survey equipment
Trainee environmental administrator:
Providing office based support to a team of environmental consultants, tasks will include:
- Survey preparation including arranging accommodation and transport
- Record management – maintenance of project database and filing system
- Project administration – ensuring project files are appropriately maintained
- Finance support and business management support
Eligibility
To be eligible for either role you will require a Manchester postcode and live in the Manchester City Council Local Authority area.
The Green Skills and Employment Programme targets recruitment to the following groups:
